Any interest in doing an NFL Playoffs fantasy draft?

I hated the look of Addai, obviously since I picked Kevin Faulk ahead of him. Not only do I expect the Colts to go one and done, but I still haven’t forgiven Addai for killing my fantasy team last year.

I’ll tell you, that surprised me. Not only is Faulk not even the #1 on his team and rarely gets in the endzone, but Addai is on the #1 seeded Colts and will easily surpass what Faulk would get you in 2 games in one game. The odds of the Colts going one and done, to me, is far less likely than Faulk performing well and the Pats going to the SuperBowl.

But it’s your team. And it’s exciting. Good Luck.

I’m projecting the loss of Welker will take Moss out of the game and the entire Patriots offense will end up being Edelman and Faulk. I’m also projecting them to beat the Ravens.

Faulk is a super-sneaky pick. He always gets a lot more action in the playoffs, and he used to do a lot of the stuff that Welker does nowadays.

Plus, the Pats will almost certainly have an easier time passing or running draw plays against the Ravens than running conventional rushing plays - Faulk’s two specialties.

I know everyone thinks the pick of Beanie Wells was a bit questionable. I’m thinking Green Bay will spend a lot of the game rushing 4. The Cards are going to use a lot of 2 running back sets, with both Hightower and Wells getting some carries as well as a lot of screens.

I want in, just woke up and missed the draft but I figure I’ll just draft a team from the leftovers. My odds are poor but it could be fun anyways, I hope there are no objections.

RB Willis McGahee

WR Pierre Garcon
WR Percy Harvin
TE Jermichael Finley

I have no objection whatsoever. But you can bet your bottom dollar that I will object loudly if you beat me.

By the way, I like Rivers, Addai and Finley.

Hell, you ended up with as good a team as anyone, except your wideouts.

No objection here either.

I must admit I was shocked Rivers was available. I picked the Chargers to win it all and he’d have probably been my first pick. Really the WRs are the only position I feel shaky about and I kinda wish I could have loaded up on more Chargers overall, McGahee vs. Sproles was a tough choice but I think there a good chance the Ravens play 3 games.

If the teams with byes all make it to the championship games minus the Saints I’ll be tough to beat.

A “beat of the rest” team (via iPhone).

QB Rivers
RB Addai
RB Felix Jones
WR Derrick Mason
WR Percy Harvin
WR Collie
TE Shockey
K Matt Stover
DEF Vikings

Sorry again.

Eta: this is just for kicks, the Jets game already started.

You snagged some of Omni’s best of the rest picks, which I guess is cool if you’re playing unofficially.

Right, if anything I’m mostly playing against Omni to see who cam sift through the trash better.

My scoring for Game 1:

Larry Fitzgerald
Tom Brady
Ray Rice
Thomas Jones - 34 rush yards, 1 TD: 9 points
DeSean Jackson
Dallas Clark
Bengals - 24 points allowed: 0 points
Robert Meachem
Jay Feely - 1 FG, 3 XP: 6 points

Don’t worry about scoring yourself, though feel free to keep track at home to ensure your scoring is done correctly.

Okay I finished the spreadsheet for tracking results. Beef, I emailed it to the yahoo address listed in your profile. Here are sample results with yesterday’s data:

Well, there goes Grant, the Packers D (what the fuck was I thinking?), OchoCinco, and Jennings (although he put up nice points for his one game). Not too great a start.

That’s alright. I’m down Brady, DeSean Jackson and the Bengals. The Bengals, I might add, gave me 0 points.

On the bright side, I’ve gotten at least one touchdown from every skill position player so far.

Sorry for the delay; I got super busy this week. Anyway, here’s the Wildcard round standings.

Man, Aaron Rodgers was looking like my ticket to the championship if only he hadn’t fumbled the game away in overtime.
