Any more Philly Championships this year?

Eagles are Superbowl Champs.

Villanova are NCAA National Champs.

The Sixers and Flyers are in the playoffs…cane either (both?) come away with a championship as well?

Given the Flyers are the 8-seed, and have been blown out in 3 of 4 games this series, it is HIGHLY unlikely they make it out of the first round.

The Sixers, however, are young but talented, and the addition of Belinelli and Ilyasova have advanced the “Process” considerably. They look poised to win their first-round series against Miami, but how far they go is anyone’s guess. A “great season” based on the last two seasons (10 wins and 28 wins) is winning 52 games and making the playoffs.

The Sixers have to play Boston in the second round, barring a collapse of either team. They would be an underdog in that series. They will then likely have to play Toronto in the conference final, and would be a significant underdog. And if they pulled that off, they’d probably face Houston in the Finals, and would be an enormous underdog. I guess it could happen but don’t hold your breath. They are building a really good team but they’re a bit early yet.

The Flyers don’t have one chance in five hundred of winning the Cup.

The Phillies could win the World Series. Pretty good team, and in baseball all you have to do is make the playoffs. Baseball playoffs are a crapshoot.

Disagree about Philly being an underdog versus Boston; considering the Celtics’ spate of injuries I would expect the 76ers to be a substantial favorite.

To whit: The 76ers have 12/5 odds to win the Eastern Conference, while the Celtics are much lower, at 12/1.

Will this be the year It’s Always Sunny finally wins an Emmy?

Yeah, I forgot Boston’s banged up.
