Any Music composers in the house

Is there any music composer here or recording expert? Just wondering if it is possible to record audio using the sound engine pre-sets from my Yamaha digital piano into Garageband, using an Ipad? If yes how?

I know how to do it on Macbook but just curious about iPad.

Any suggestions?

Not a Garagebander myself. I use Sound Studio (MacOS not iOS as far as I know). Your subject line would have been more useful, I think, if you’d mentioned iPad and GarageBand.

There are a bunch of interfaces from Apogee, presonus, focusrite, etc. you can use to record stereo audio. If you’re looking for a way to do it without an interface, I don’t know if it’s possible unless you just use the mics.

To record audio into an iPad from an instrument, you’ll need some kind of USB audio interface specifically for the iPad. along with that you can plugin the audio interface into the iPad, and connect your keyboard to the interface, and after that it will be ready to record your audio

I was using Garageband on my windows with some method I found online. But that doesn’t work any longer. Do you know if there is some other way?

Sorry for that mate!

Yes, definitely I am looking for some kind of interface. I will try and find one from the ones you have mentioned. Thank you.

Thank you! Is there a specific name for this kind of USB interface?

I don’t know any but this guide here does. Refer it and see if any of these works.
