I had just used the program the other day and had no problems. Tonight, however, when I tried to burn the disc, I got an “invalid parameter in field” error while trying to burn “disc-at-once”.
I’m using an LG 4081B CD/DVD burner and Khypermedia CD-Rs. The exact same things I was using the last time.
I have not added any software or hardware since that last time (3-4 days ago), nor have I made any changes to the computer in any other way. I was able to burn the disc with my other burner (a Sony CD/DVD combo).
I’m going to be no help to you what so ever.
I was just about to comment, that this error is one of those, that seldom gets answered twice the same way. There doesn’t seem to be a definitive answer.
Then I came across this page , that said it better than I.
Unfortunately I speak from experience when I say this…to the best of my knowledge, there is NO solution.
It’s an unlucky combination of motherboard-chipsets, CD-writer versions (firmware versions, maybe), and operating system.
I have the EXACT same problem on two completely different PCs (one desktop with a DVD-Writer, and one notebook with a DVD-combo unit) and what always fails is burning video onto CD-Rs in DAO-mode. (Is this the same problem you’re having, or is it ALL types of burning in DAO-mode?)
I have yet to try every solution on earth to solve the problem, but to give you an idea of what I HAVE tried (without luck) :
Uninstall Nero, use Alcohol 120% or Fireburner
Reinstall Windows
Upgrade Nero to latest version
Reinstall ASPI layers
Deinstall ASPI layers
Use ForceASPI
So, instead of offering a solution for you, I add to your plea my own. HELP.
(In the meantime, the workaround I use is the following: Since for me, the only thing not working is burning /Super/VideoCDs in DAO-mode, I extract the video and remaster the /Super/VideoCD directly in Nero and burn using TAO. It works except in those cases where the video is very near 80 minutes long.)
