I am a devoted Attenborough fan going back to the 70s. It’s very difficult for me to fully enjoy any natural world documentaries that are not hosted/narrated by him.
But since he’s only two years away from his 100th birthday, and therefore the most we could possibly hope for is another three or four years, perhaps, I am thirsty for whatever he is doing and I am very much hoping that he’s pumping out as much as possible with an eye to the fact that he will not be with us much longer.
I know he’s done more for the BBC but I haven’t heard any word of anything coming over here does anyone else know?
(If you are an Attenborough fan, you must add to your admiration, if you did not know already, the fact that he is responsible for bringing us Monty Python’s Flying Circus when he was the “suit” in charge at the BBC.)
Six-Part Series Premieres Saturday, July 13 at 8pm on BBC America and is Available on AMC+ the Same Day
AMc+ has a free trial (although that would only give you one episode unless you waited until the end of the series–since episodes are shown a week apart):
The industrial fishing method of bottom trawling is the focus of a large part of Attenborough’s latest film, Ocean, which airs in cinemas from 8 May, the naturalist’s 99th birthday.
it’s being released on Hulu, Disney+ and National Geographic later this year–but the exact date hasn’t been announced.
But Wow! Still doing nature documentaries at almost 100 years old!
