Any news on the NYC doorman strike?

Twitterers are saying a variety of things like maybe, who knows, and yes. No news anywhere else that I can see.

Nytimes.com says that it’s off, and that the owner’s association caved on basically everything, although they don’t outline specifics beyond a nearly 10% raise over four years.

I’m kind of pissed, honestly - I understand the anger over certain proposals (not letting new workers join the union for five years, and cutting sick days), but flatly refusing to pay anything towards one’s health benefits? I don’t know anybody (other than a few union workers) who don’t pay anything in towards their health insurance, and our maintenance has already gone up about 40% in the last four years.

Thanks, GilaB. Glad to see it’s averted!
