Any online merchants who will ship running shoes to an APO address?

I’m out of the country for several months, but can receive mail at an APO address.

I need a new pair of running shoes (nothing fancy or super-specialized, any decent brand will do).

I have checked out roadrunnersports and amazon, but ran into disclaimers (road runner has lots of stuff in ‘extended inventory’, which they won’t ship to an APO. Amazon has similar disclaimers, set by the actual merchant you buy from).

Are there any online retailers who routinely ship running shoes to APO addresses?

This is probably not what you’re looking for, and if so I apologize.

But if you can find something acceptable at J.C. Penney, they not only ship to APO addresses, but (at least in 1984-1988) got the order to us in THREE days! This was to Kwajalein, Marshall Islands.

I could almost never get anything ordered in the states-to the states that quick. To this day, I don’t know how they did/do it. But I do recommend them, if they happen to have some running shoes that are acceptable.

(Again, I do understand from your post pretty much what you’re looking for and the retailers you’re probably looking at. Just wanted to suggest a possible option, is all)

Zappos.com says on their website:

So they will ship to you, just not quickly.
