Because my husband and I have yet to see ours. Feh.
Did both you and your spouse file taxes this year? Do you both have social security numbers?
I didn’t get mine till about two weeks ago.
Yes on both counts. Between the two of us we worked three jobs last year. I am wondering if we made too much money to qualify. I was under the impression our combined income was close to the income ceiling but not over it.
Are you eligible? A surprising number of taxpayer citizens are not.
This link helps you calculate if you are, and for how much: http://www.irs.gov/app/espc/
According to that calculator we qualify.
I’ve just been informed by my husband that he was on the phone with the IRS. After putting him on hold for twenty minutes, they said that their computers didn’t recognize until last week that we had paid our taxes (though they cashed the check in MAY). So now we’re told the processing is going forward and the stimulus payment should be mailed in mid-August.
Damn the IRS. They suck.
I got mine a couple weeks ago. I was pretty nervous because for about 4 years now, we have had difficulty with our post office delivering refund checks. We got every piece of junk mail ever aimed at our house, but the gov’t checks were getting hung up every year. Finally got it…it was a matter of being sent out late; not a post office problem.
We had our refund direct deposited, so we got the stimulus check pretty quick.
My son didn’t get one, probably because he didn’t make enough last year. His refund was just shy of $200.
I read the title and thought it was some sort of medical procedure.
My wife and I paid a “professional” who twice miscalculated our refund and submitted our return electronically on the second (wrong) try. Had to file a corrected return. We assume this is why we have not yet received our check.
I won’t get one, I don’t qualify.
