Any other cartoons besides 'Clerks' draw people with 5 fingers?

I’m watching an episode of the animated ‘Clerks’ series, and I noticed that unlike most cartoons people are drawn with the full complement of 5 fingers.

Any other cartoons besides ‘Clerks’ do this?

Charles Schultz insisted that the Peanuts characters be drawn with five fingers.

Never noticed that about ‘Peanuts’, interesting.

I’d also discovered that the ‘Venture Brothers’ cartoon also has five-fingered people.

I thought “King of the Hill” had five-fingered characters. But it’s been so long since I last saw one (all hail Fox and their annoying tendency to show football on Sunday, the bastards) that I might be misremebering.

On Cartoon Network they have a show called “Code Name: Kids Next Door”, all the characters on the show have 5 fingers.

I just verified, they indeed have 5 fingers.

Most “realistic” cartoons, where people are drawn to look like real people rather than stylized cartoonists’ visions, have five-fingered people. Most of the superhero cartoons, like Justice League and the various Batman, X-Men and Spider-Man cartoons.

Jeez … a whole lot of cartoon characters have five fingers, but I’m mostly drawing a blank right now. The humans on Courage the Cowardly Dog have five fingers per hand (though Courage has only 3). The Scooby Doo humans have five fingers, too, but on A Pup Named Scooby Doo they only had four. Guess you grow an extra finger on each hand during puberty in the Scooby Doo universe.

Ditto for anime. This includes both the modern cartoons and the older, cheesier varieties (e.g. Speed Racer and the various giant flying robots shows).

The Simpsons. OK, only God has 5 fingers.

Did they really draw God with 5 fingers? I assume on the episode where Homer starts his own religion, right?

Daria has five fingers too.

In that episode, he’s got five. I think they’ve been inconsistent with that, though.

I believe they have 5 fingers in South Park.

The animated “Pocket Dragon Adventures” by Real Musgrave had the hands of the little dragons…non-humans! …drawn with five fingers.

They’ve got no fingers in southpark ;).

Weird! I read the OP as “Are there any cartoons besides Clerks which draw (in the sense of “attract an audience from among”) people with five fingers?” I interpreted this to mean “which cartoons are appealing to people of at least normal intelligence?”

My girlfriend was right. I do think too hard.

Yellow Submarine showed the characters with five fingers. It also was showed the bodies in the proper proportion; most cartoons at that time had larger than normal heads (to show expression better), and that’s how many cartoons are continued to be made.

Bugs Bunny was drawn with five fingers only once. I challenge all the local trivia buffs to say which cartoon it was in and why.

Rabbit of Seville (1950).
