I saw them again last night. Once again, simply amazing.
To those who haven’t heard of them, Momix is . . . well, technically, they’re a modern dance troupe. But they’re really a combination of dance, gymnastics, yoga, acrobatics, and sensuality. Their director, Moses Pendleton choreographs them so that their bodies become abstract shapes moving with the music. It’s fascinating and hypnotic.
Last night’s show was called “Passion,” with music by Peter Gabriel. It was one of the most visually stunning things I’ve ever seen. The dancers don’t really dance, but instead create a mood that fits the music. They are dramatic, funny, surprising, and a hell of a thing to watch.
This is the third time I’ve seen them, and they never fail to amaze. Anyone other fans around here?
