Any personal trainers here?

My wife is working on certification. In a practical exam administered online, one of the questions was “how would you modify a lunge for a pregnant woman” (something like that).

What would be some good answers to this?

(Exam is done, this is a question after the fact…)

Depending on how advanced the pregnancy is it would range from no modification, in the case of someone in reasonably good shape, to taking a smaller step and possibly getting some support from the barre, or a ski pole or something, for stability. Making sure the knee stays over the foot, but you always do that.

My wife worked out her entire pregnancy and I don’t remember her needing any modifications for lunges. Maybe just less weight (we always do lunges holding dumbbells)?
