Any Pro Wrestling Fans in the Audience? (Multiple promotions) (Part 2)

AEW: Hangman Adam Page defeated Jon Moxley to win his second AEW World Championship.

WWE: Seth Rollins seems to have legitimately hurt his knee when he landed on his feet on an “abandoned moonsault” spot against LA Knight. And Goldberg lost his retirement match against World Champion Gunther.

It looks like Logan is now in the “gotta put over the non-wrestler celebrity” role.

John Cena actually gave kudos to Logan for what it’s worth. Looks like he’s in it for the long haul.

Dammit. I need to learn to copy images.

Iyo: You can’t defeat me.
Rhea: I know, but she can.
Naomi laughs manically.

On RAW, it was announced that we’ll have a triple-threat match between Naomi, Rhea, and Iyo for the Women’s World Title. Only, you know, this time Naomi will have to wrestle the whole match.

CM Punk won the #1 contender’s gauntlet match to earn a shot at Gunther’s World Heavyweight Title at SummerSlam. Bron Breakker ran the gauntlet, fairly at first but ultimately starting to get help from Bronson Reed.

Jey Uso came out to even the odds and Punk got the win. The Dangerous Alliance attacked the good guys and set them both up for a Tsunami, but the OTC RETURNED!

Roman Reigns came out and took out both Bronson and Bron before helping Jey up and giving Punk a significant glance.

Tag match at SummerSlam?

So Cody’s on break for a while?

No, Cody is going to be on SmackDown this Friday and probably confront Cena. Those two have a rematch at SummerSlam.

Cody only recently came back from a break.

Jelly Roll guest hosted Jimmy Kimmel’s show and interviewed Randy Orton. Then Drew McIntyre came out to talk trash. Those two brawled to the back.

Then Logan Paul came out, called Jelly Roll trailer trash and slapped him, and got chokeslammed through the desk for his efforts.

Former WCW star Buff Bagwell had his right leg amputated yesterday, five years after it was first seriously injured in a car crash.

Here are some notable things that happened at TNA Slammiversary 2025, which turned out to be their largest North American crowd in company history (7,682).

And I’m summarizing from Cageside Seats:

NXT Women’s Champion Jacy Jayne defeated TNA Knockouts Champion Masha Slamovich in a winner-take-all match. There was a referee bump during the match, by which point you could have easily counted Jayne down to 10.

Leon Slater defeated Moose to become the new TNA X Division Champion, and the youngest ever at 20 years, 296 days. My God, he’s not even old enough to properly celebrate it. Moose showed him some respect by putting the belt around his waist. Then AJ Styles made his (already announced) return to TNA to talk up the new champion and wish him luck building his legacy. (No, he didn’t challenge him.)

The Hardys won their fourth TNA World Tag Team Championship in a four-way ladder match. Afterwards, Bully Ray came out for one last challenge between The Hardys and the Dudleys (or as TNA calls them, Team 3D) for Bound for Glory.

Trick Williams, an NXT Superstar, retained the TNA World Championship against Joe Hendry and Mike Santana. Santana had Hendry beat but Trick dumped him and stole the pin.

Funny lines from RAW, 7/21/25:

Adam Pearce orders Dominik to report to medical.

Finn Balor: “Bring back some lollipops.”

Iyo does her “pointing to herself” taunt.

Corey Graves: “Be honest, Cole; how many times have you gotten up and done that in the mirror?”

Don’t forget Kofi Kingston “The simulation is broken” after losing a match.

YES! Tonight, SmackDown GM Nick Aldis announced a Tables, Ladders, and Chairs match for the WWE Tag Team Championship at SummerSlam.

The Wyatt Sicks, DIY, Motor City Machine Guns, The Street Profits, Andrade/Ray Fenix, and Fraxiom go for the titles held by the Wyatts.

So, at SummerSlam we’ve got a Street Fight, a Steel Cage match, and a TLC match.

Loving it.

If the tag team TLC match is half as good as the one on Smackdown a while back, it’s going to be the best match at Summer Slam.

That TLC match on SmackDown was fucking fantastic.

Mercedes Moné just defeated Diana Strong in Poland, in an event named for Mercedes, to win two more belts.

She now has eight.

This is fucking ridiculous.

Nobody’s posted about Hulk Hogan’s death.

I was kinda “meh” about it myself.

The wrestling shows promote how he put their industry on the map and credit him for its surge in popularity, but they’re not going to mention how he and his enablers ruined WCW and almost did the same to TNA. He oversaturated the market on his self-promotion and his “Real American Beer” was literally the final nail on his coffin.

RIP Hogan I guess.

Vince McMahon has been cited for reckless driving after being involved in a car accident last Thursday. Everyone was wearing seat belts and no one was seriously harmed.

It’s been three weeks since an episode of the Twitter-exclusive show WWE Speed has aired, and there’s talk online that it may have been quietly cancelled.

It started in April 2024 and followed a format of three-minute-time-limit matches in #1 contender’s tournaments, with matches for the men’s and women’s Speed Championships having a time limit of 5 minutes.

Some of the episodes were actually quite fun. But I don’t like to go on Elon Musk’s Twitter.

The current champions are El Grande Americano and Sol Ruca.
