Hunter has his old job as EVP of Talent back.
Time will tell whether this results in more competent booking going forward.

And Vince McMahon has announced his retirement as CEO of WWE.
This leaves the company in the hands of co-CEOs Stephanie McMahon and Nick Khan.
Holy shit. End of an era.
More important,it seems Vince is stepping away from creative. Dunn and Pritchard will sadly carry on the shitty booking and pacing, but maybe the light at the end of the tunnel isn’t an approaching train.
The plot thickens - Brock Lesnar has apparently pulled a CM Punk upon hearing the news and declared “If he’s gone, I’m gone.”
There are rumors that Dunn is on his way out too.

Meanwhile, Cultaholic is reporting that WWE’s Plan B for Reigns’s opponent at SummerSlam is… of course… Goldberg.
Fuck’s sake, why can’t we get someone to main-event SummerSlam who’s here every week?
Well, Brock Lesnar appeared at the end of SmackDown and beat the hell out of Theory, so now, I don’t know what to believe.
Lesnar showed up. No way Goldberg can sub for him against Roman, one of the guys needs to know how to wrestle.
Someone finally convinced him Vince’s legal problems and subsequent retirement wasn’t part of a scripted routine this time.
Because ~20 years ago, WWE (Vince) forgot how to build more than 1 credible contender at a time.
You dare blaspheme against your Tribal Chief? ACKNOWLEDGE HIM.
is there any place where i can hear podcasts on the PC other than youtube? cause I know jim C is gonna have at least one whole show on vince and HHH but YT’s usually 1-2 weeks behind ,
Cornette’s show is syndicated on Podcast Addict.
thanks
I skipped SD because I thought it was just going to be the same old shit over and over again.
Apparently I was wrong.
Claudio Castagnoli is now ROH World Champion.
Once the shock of Vince retiring wears off here’s what needs to happen :
first off trips needs to take a week and put nxt back the way he had it … second he and Steph need to go to Louisville and talk/bribe a certain someone into a “book /work/advise from home” scenario and have him and paul Heyman fix the rest of the WWE…
Aside from the fact that there probably isn’t any amount of money that would convince Corny to work for any peomotiin at this point, let alone for a McMahon, his booking style is way too old-fashioned to work these days. The way to fix a company that’s stuck in the '90s isn’t to hire a guy who’s stuck in the '70s and wishes he were stuck in the '40s.
Assuming that Dunn, Prichard, and Laurianaitis are all done, Hunter is probably capable of building a better WWE along the lines he did in NXT. Let people wrestle under their established names, acknowledge that wrestling exists outside WWE, keep the comedy and profession-as-wrestler gimmicks to a minimum, let the talent be themselves instead of reading scripts, and treat the production like it’s a wrestling show instead of a soap opera about a wrestling show.
wow the rumor mills are on fire tho I’ve never seen more WWE media discussions than in the past 24 hours
Whew, you were saying Corny wants to recreate the 40s? Go further back. “Charwoman” dates back to the 16th century and refers to the gal who cleans the offices after the menfolk go home.
It’s hard to believe Vince won’t still have influence over the WWE product, but I’m hoping Corny’s prediction that HHH will steer the ship from now on holds true.
