Any Pro Wrestling Fans in the Audience? (Multiple promotions) (Part 2)

Rhea Ripley won the Women’s Chamber; AJ Lee won the Women’s Intercontinental Title; and CM Punk retained the World Heavyweight Title. Danhausen was indeed in the crate.

It was indeed Danhausen in the box.

Logan Paul eliminated three men in the Chamber before a masked man came out and climbed the outside of the cage.

Security came out to grab him, and he was unmasked and nobody knew who he was. Then a second masked man arrived, went into the Chamber, and hit Paul with the Stomp. He took off his mask, and it was Seth Rollins.

Rhodes and Orton were left. Drew McIntyre came out and attacked Rhodes, but was beaten back by the other two men. Then Orton quickly hit the RKO on Cody - AND WON.

I didn’t see that coming. But I’m pleasantly surprised.

Drew McIntyre will defend the WWE Championship against Cody Rhodes Friday on SmackDown.

On RAW, Judgement Day made the mistake of stepping up to Danhausen, and the latter put a curse on Dominik Mysterio. So naturally he lost the Intercontinental Title to Penta when he tried to cheat.

This is Penta’s first title in WWE.

My fear about Danhausen in WWE was that the creative team wouldn’t understand his “schlocky late-night horror movie host” persona and would just turn him into another comedy jobber.

This assuages my fears slightly, but we’ll see how he’s doing in six months. I don’t think he’s ever gonna be main-eventing Wrestlemania, but he certainly has solid midcard potential.

Just booked my ticket for AEW’s next trip to the Pacific Northwest! They’re doing a 2-week stay here in mid-April, one in Everett north of Seattle, and the following week in Portland. I sadly can’t afford to do both right now since either one would be an overnighter, so I picked Everett since I’ve never been there before and it’s cheaper to get there and back from here ($12 round-trip by bus and light rail vs. $50-$75 to Portland and back via Amtrak). It’s a live Dynamite followed by a Collision taping, so I’ll be getting about 4 hours or so of live wrestling.

I agree, he won’t main-event WrestleMania, but there is plenty of value in people who will be career midcarders.

I think Danhausen vs, Miz could work. Miz would ironically be the “old school” advocate who thinks Dan’s act is stupid and needs to be shamed publicly. Danhausen would then curse him to fall asleep, then take out the makeup kit, and turn him into Mizhausen.

I predict that Cody will defeat Drew on SmackDown to win his third WWE Championship, and at WrestleMania we’ll finally have the payoff to all those times Orton looked greedily at Cody’s title.

My guess is that Orton will interfere, leading to one of the GMs announcing the three of them will battle in the secondish main event at WM.

That would solve the problem of what exactly Drew would be doing at WrestleMania, if not defending his title against just Orton.

I’m calling it now: Kairi has just about had enough of Asuka’s bullshit, and the two will fight at WrestleMania.

Really going out on a limb there, aren’t you? The only question is does Iyo get roped into it, as Rhea has other plans.

El Hijo del Dr. Wagner Jr., the AAA Latin American Champion, has answered Carmelo Hayes’ United States Championship Open Challenge.

Why the heck didn’t he just name himself Dr. Wagner III?

Also, we’ve got a Tag Team Turmoil match later tonight to determine the #1 contenders to the WWE Tag Team Championship held by the MFTs.

Damian Priest and R-Truth won Tag Team Turmoil.

Danhausen and Miz are getting a program together! SmackDown GM Nick Aldis has told Miz to mentor him.

Cody Rhodes won his third WWE Championship from Drew McIntyre when Drew got pissed and went for a chair but was prevented from using it by Jacob Fatu.

Rhodes vs. Orton for the title at WrestleMania, and presumably Drew vs. Jacob.

HOLY SHIT, The Judgement Day beat the hell out of Finn Balor! And JD McDonough helped them do it!

Bayley won the gauntlet match at the start of the show, and earned the right to challenge AJ Lee for the Women’s Intercontinental Title next week on RAW.

The Usos came out during CM Punk’s promo at the end of the show, demanding that he apologize for disrespecting Sika. When he took the opportunity to further disparage Roman Reigns instead, they decked him.

AAA’s Nino Hamburguesa has been fired for assaulting an audience member at an indie show.
