OH MY GOD!
ARE YOU KIDDING ME?!
Jey USO!!
OH MY GOD!
ARE YOU KIDDING ME?!
Jey USO!!
I don’t think anyone saw that coming!
At the post-show press conference, Jey said he’s going to challenge Gunther for the World Heavyweight Championship at WrestleMania 41.
This means that Cody will face the winner of the Men’s Elimination Chamber.
Very intriguing story with the favorites more or less eliminating each other, and then Logan Paul embracing his role as the utter bastard in tossing out sacred cow CM Punk.
Cena probably did the least amount of work aside from Ludvig.
They still use that trope of one wrestler tossing the other over the top rope and turning their back to celebrate while the other one crawls back in. There was also a lot of resting on the apron moments. Cornette said that’s why wrestlers usually hated working Rumbles, because they had to find creative ways to kill time while two other participants faced off. Nevertheless, Royal Rumbles have always been fun. The audience participation counting down the not-exactly-2-minutes timer is a big part of it.
You forgot Tozawa.
Hey, lay off Akira. He was never eliminated from the Royal Rumble.
Who’s Speed? Another internet?
My predictions for some Wrestlemania matches at this point;
Charlotte Flair vs. Tiffany Stratton
Alexa Bliss vs. Liv Morgan
Rhea Ripley vs. Nia Jaxx (ETA: Triple threat with Bayley?)
I don’t see Penta vs. Fatu. I think Fatu gets Bron Breakker and Penta gets a Lucha, maybe even Dom. I would much rather see Cena vs. Punk and Paul vs. McIntyre. If Orton is ready to return, Orton vs. Rhodes, and I would turn Rhodes leading into this. Are we getting Zayn vs Owens at WM?
He joins several others in the record book though some, like Randy Savage and Hornswaggle, were eliminated in future Rumbles.
6 Superstars who were never eliminated from the Royal Rumble Match
Meanwhile, Charlotte and Andrade have gotten divorced.
Is she also chasing Daddy’s record here?
She’s 38 and this is her third divorce, so she’s actually ahead of her dad, who took until he was 60 to leave his third wife.
Ric must be so proud!
I think it has to be Sheamus vs. Breakker. They’ve been pushing the whole storyline of Sheamus trying and failing to win the IC title for too long, and Wrestlemania would be the perfect place for it to finally pay off. Cena vs. Punk has been done before, and if this is Cena’s last Wrestlemania he should go up against Cody for a shot at that 17th world title.
I’d rather that Logan Paul fuck off into the sun forever, but if he has to have a match then his eliminating Punk from the RR seems like a solid basis for a story to me.
You and me both.
Seems like McIntyre versus Priest is the WM plan. I understand what you are saying regarding Shaemus, so maybe it’s my bias because I feel Shaemus has already had too many chances and needs to move on. I would say the same about Jey Uso versus Gunther, yet here we go.
Sheamus has been a dependable workhorse in WWE for nearly 20 years now. I say he deserves to be a Grand Slam Champion before he’s too old to keep going.
Breakker vs. Sheamus, Title vs. Career.
Is Jey Uso winning the Rumble all that surprising? He was high up on my list, the crowd loves him, they’ve been pushing him hard, and I’ll bet he’s selling tons of merch. Nobody wants Gunther merch. Jey will be the champion soon.
In a Rumble that included Cena, Punk, Roman, and Logan Paul, I’d say he was a dark horse.
