I’ve been using Camel frost for about a month now and really enjoy it as an alternative to cigarettes. Any other users of Snus out there?
I’ve got some that were promotional, and I’ve used them occasionally in lieu of nicotine gum as I try to quit. The sweet tea ones are much better, IMO, than the Frost. Those kind of burn my mouth.
Do the rest of us a favor and throw the used pouches in the wastebasket, thanks! It’s almost as nasty as chewing gum sittin’ there on the sidewalk.
I call this entry - level tobacco. I started dipping with a similar product 30 years ago and ain’t nothin’ changed. While it may be good for people who smoke and want to slow down or quit, the real goal is to get young people to start using. This stuff is easy to use, tasty and it just happens to have an addictive component - just the right amount to not turn off beginners but enough to set the hook. I pitched a fit when my son came home from college with it and he was surprised to find that it had nicotine in it! (Yeah, kids can be that ignorant).
I got some at the gas station this Sunday, the mellow flavor! It was refrigerated, and came 15 pouches to a pack. I’d never seen it in the US before, the tobacco stores never stocked it, I always thought I’d have to order some from Sweden to try it. It tastes good and does not have that much nicotine, it doesn’t pack as strong a punch as cigars or hookah, and definitely no where near the strength of a nicotine patch. It might not cause lung or mouth cancer like the stuff you have to smoke, but there was definitely a disclaimer on it saying that it could lead to gum disease and teeth falling out. I used all the 15 pouches throughout the day and was feeling pretty wired by the time I got to the last one, but a very enjoyable experience overall.
