Any suggestions for this WoW Frost Mage?

As far as gear/talents etc?

I guess it depends on whether you want to do pvp or pve at 80. You should keep a separate gear set for each if you plan to do both.

On the way to level 80, I can give you a few gear tips. First, don’t bother enchanting pre-80 gear. That frostwoven and mystic frostwoven gear is a lot of int-free armor; if you’re having mana issues, you should start by addressing that (check the AH for greens with suffixes like “of the Sorcerer” or “of the Invoker”). If you do want to stick with that much spirit, glyphed molten armor will give you a lot of crit rating. I think that by 75 or 76 you can do the Amphitheater of Anguish quests in Zul’Drak; one of the rewards is the Chilly Slobberknocker, which is a substantial upgrade to your current staff.

Once you get to 80, the tailor-crafted Frostsavage armor should be a half-decent starter set for pvp, and some pieces will be useful for your pve set until you get a few heroics under your belt. For pve, the tailor-crafted Ebonweave robe and gloves have good spellpower and hit for a fresh 80. In fact, make sure to level your tailoring. Of all the professions, tailoring currently has the best perk for mages: Lightweave Embroidery

In general, pvp gear is the gear with resilience on it. I believe that pvp frost mages prioritize haste over stats like crit. I don’t have a whole lot of experience with frost spec, but I’m pretty sure that Brain Freeze will be more useful to you than Frozen Core or Improved Fire Blast.

For pve, don’t spec frost. Get dual spec if you must keep a frost spec available, but the other specs perform much better in dungeons and raids. A pve gear set needs hit rating. Read about how much hit rating you’ll need here.
