I started target shooting when I got my first .22 when I was 9 years old.
I haven’t shot for about 5 years. We do live remote, but not that remote. Don’t want to bug people (though every year I hear people sighting in their hunting rifles). I have a number of .22’s and a cannon or two. But it’s just not a good place to shoot them.
Anywho, I bought an PCP (Pre-Charged Pneumatic [you pump it up manually with a bicycle type pump that takes it up to 3000psi, it’s work]). Air rifle for target shooting. The Benjamin marauder in .22 It’s really fun. I’ve only put about 80 pellets through it, but am hitting dime size groups at 120 feet. Stunning, at least to me, for an air rifle.
It’s pretty much silent. About 3/4 the power of a .22, but not nearly the range.
Any other target shooters here?
It’s about the physics, and mechanics to me. Very cool stuff.
