Any thoughts on AZZ Cardfile?

I’m thinking of buying this PIM (it’s shareware and only $18, but thedownload is free if you can stand the nags), but I wonder if any Dopers have tried it and have comments - good or bad - about it.

Now that I have downloaded thunderbird for my in-computer email, I’d like to get rid of Outlook 2003. So, I’m wondering if the AZZ thing is a good substitute. Will it, for example let me schedule an event and when it comes due, give me a visual/audio alert like Outlook does?

Couldn’t find anything about this at the website. I emailed the company, but answers tend to come faster here.

If you have recommendations for a better Personal Information Manager, I’m all ears.

Love it!

I’ve used it for YEARS for organizing data in a simple cardfile manner. I track projects, contacts, and personnel for various jobs I’ve worked with. Easy program, nice encryption, and its been able to do everything I need it to.

I’ve never used any of the scheduling items, so I can’t help you there.

I evaluated a few dozen of programs like this, and I liked AZZ the best.
