Sadly, little Snowden passed away during the night. We’ll miss him very much and life here won’t be the same without his cheerful personality. Thanks again to everyone for your advice and wishes.
Snowden was vaccinated against rabies, so no concerns there. All of our horses and donkeys get their yearly vaccinations on a schedule. Very said that chances are we got a spoiled batch of the vaccine that protects against encephalitis. He said that if it gets hot during storage or transportation that it will go bad. The vet was a horse specialist and was positive about his diagnosis.
So sorry to hear that. My condolences to you and to Snowden’s buddy, too.
I was just looking at some photos this morning of a trip we took a couple of years ago to the tulip fields an hour (in good traffic) north of Seattle . While we were driving around up there, we came across a farm with a bunch of miniature donkeys in a paddock next to the road. Of course, we had to stop and say hello. Several obliged us and came over to the fence to get their heads rubbed and listen to us blather on about how sweet and good-natured they were. Visiting with those donkeys was the highlight of our trip.
