I installed a DVD-ROM drive last night, in the third slot on my computer. I connected it on the same cable as the hard drive.
I have two other CD-ROM drives in there, and before I installed the DVD-ROM, they were D: and E:. Now, the drive that was previously D: is the same, but the DVD-ROM has become E:, and the other CD drive is F:. Is there any way to switch the DVD-ROM to F: and the CD drive back to E:?
Go to:
Start -> Settings -> Control Pannel -> Administrative Tools -> Computer Management -> Disk Management
…and then right click on the drive. The option to change the drive letter will appear. This only works if you are using an operating system equal to or greater than 2000.
Of course, the answer depends on which version of Windows you’re running.
I got it. Thanks.
