Any way to disable Macromedia Flash advertisements?

Blinky, dancing, swirling, swooping Macromedia Flash adverts. Gah! We hates them! We haaaates them! At lest with distracting animated GIF’s the “stop” button kills them.

So, is there any way to stop the madness? I’m resorting to Post-its on those ones you can’t right-click disable or super-zoom into a neutral area.

Use an ad blocker.

I blieve flash is an Active X thing so disabling ActiveX should do it

I use PopUpCop , you can turn off flash, but if you go to a flash site you want to see you can click on the movie and it will play. It will also stop popups. Or you can remove flash .
