Any way to eliminate online retailers from google search?

When I search for things I often get bogged down in results for retailers. I’ve included not-, i.e. "-" and I still get gobs of retailers.

Is there a way I’m unaware of to eliminate selling sites from a google search?

try -checkout -buy -basket, depending on the search that can remove quite a few (unless you are looking for a site about basket-weaving).
