I was at a recent “green” technology show, and I noticed a unique type of low water use toilet. It flushed by using soapy water, churned into foam. The amker claims that it uses less than a pint of water per flush-compared with several gollons for a regular toilet.
Anybody have any experience? Do these things work as advertised? Seems like a good idea.
Got the actual product name or the manufacturer’s name? I’ve never heard of it, and a search on the term “soap bubble toilet” only brings up this thread and some unrelated plumbing problems.
p.s. modern toilets generally use 1.6 gallons or less. A pint or so would still be a big improvement, but I am skeptical.

I hadn’t heard of this before reading this thread, but this might be what ralph124c is talking about:
From the site:
extra wetness is bad for compost toilets. it does look like a bowl with minimal rinse to use in a compost toilet system.
a pint of soapy water would do nothing in a piped system. in a compost system it goes straight down into a chamber.
