Anybody have any experiences with CREDO Mobile as your cell phone service provider?

We have been using AT&T and have been mostly pleased with the service. But my son now needs a phone (and line), and both Moonwife and I do as well (my wife is on a Blackberry, for goodness sakes). CREDO has offered us three iPhone 128GB 6S’s to make the switch. Their overall Yelp rating isn’t bad, but many of the individual ratings in the past couple years are atrocious: poor customer service, continuing to charge after discontinuing service, etc. I gather they were under a different name, Working Assets, and were better reviewed back then maybe? Hard to say for sure.

Using Yelp to bitch about your service provider would seem like a common practice, hence the bad ratings; I imagine if you like your service you probably don’t go to Yelp to laud it. But I couldn’t seem to find a similar review page on Yelp for Verizon or AT&T for comparison, just individual stores.

A few other websites didn’t trash them too badly, mostly giving them demerits for have a slightly higher cost.

Does anybody here have any experiences with them to share? Do tell.

About CREDO:
They actually rent Sprint’s towers and have the marketing distinction of being the politically conscious provider: a portion of your bill is sent to certain programs like Planned Parenthood, etc.

I haven’t used CREDO, but I have used other Sprint resellers. Generally, they’re a good deal, but the cell service is worse than Sprint in my experience (which in my area is worse than Verizon and ATT). I’m assuming that’s because when there’s congestion, Sprint throttles their resellers more than their customers, but maybe not.

So, if you don’t mind your phone service sucking every once in a while, you can easily save $15-20 a month. That’s worth it to me.

I’ve used Ting (another Sprint reseller) for years and it seems good to me.
