Anybody know anything about VR headsets and their controllers?

My son got an Ocolus Go. He let me check it out and I wound up playing with the thing for two hours. Pretty freaking neat but…
Some of the games require you to spin around. Which means you either need a swivel chair, or do it on your feet.

I’m wondering if buying an after market controller will allow you to turn around using the joystick as opposed to actually having to turn around?

I think that would be an option that would be have to be programmed in a particular application. AFAIK there isn’t a controller with a universal turning option.
