I’m sure other people have looked for this, but Im having trouble finding what I want.
Essentially I want a FREE portal like site that will monitor my 401k doings. The Managing company has a website of course but it is all written in ‘units’ of course and is weeks to months behind on the actual value of things.
Yahoo and the other portals have a simple portlet that let’s you see the value of funds at that moment, and even can calculate growth or shrinkage of a purchase, but I want one that will simulate regular investment over time, like my 401K. I know the symbols, I know the amount put into each one every pay check(well approximately, the manager fees will not be accounted for). I just want to input the info into a page somewhere and have a historical record of what’s happening with more granularity, and let it build a record over time.
I supposed as a last resort I can program one myself, auto querying the info from the portal into a database oncer a day , and looking it up for reports, but it seems like a lot of work for something that might already be out there. Did I mention it needs to be FREE?
