Stock Market Website?

When I was a lad, I used AOL.

:beats breast:

I remember that, in their Stock Market section, they let me pretend to buy stocks and put them in a portfolio. Then, I could track them, essentially playing the stock market; I was just using Monopoly money.

I know that Yahoo! lets me create a portfolio and track it, but it doesn’t record a specific number of shares of each, or the value (and progress) of that portfolio.

Does anyone know of a website that will let me do this? I want to start with, let’s say, $1000.00 (pretend) and play it in the market to see how it would go if I actually had the inclination to do so for real.

Go back to AOL - the free version that is… go to http://www.aol.com and click on ‘My AOL.COM’. Its free and they let you track shares.

Awwwwwwwwww… :frowning:

Come on! There has got to be another way.

Someone help me, please!!!

sure, virtualstockmarket.com

handy, I don’t get it. I hit that site; they seem to want me to give them money and open a real account… that’s the problem. I don’t have real money.

I found one. It’s InvestSmart.

But, even cooler than that, is that I used their tools to create the first ever SDMB Stock Market Game! [url=“http://boards.straightdope.com/sdmb/showthread.php?threadid=41234”]Check it out![/ur]
