A year or two after I moved east, there was a Nike commercial with Ken Griffey Jr. It was filmed in Seattle. It must have been made by someone who knew Seattle, because it showed landmarks that the locals would know, like Dick’s and the Waiting for the Interurban statue in Fremont.
I would be more likely to watch Tacoma FD if they put in some Easter eggs for locals, even ex-pats like me. I don’t know what they’d be, though; maybe they give the Heimlich to some guy choking at McDonald’s and he spews McNugget on the Chihuly.
Too bad. The show was starting to get back on it’s feet. They started strong but the stories weakened through the first 2 seasons. Then it found it’s own course and by the end of season 4 despite cast changes it was coming into it’s own. I don’t know how much exposure it got on TruTV. I see it’s available on Netflix now, but too late to build on that I guess.
