Anyone attend an "Uncovered" party? Comments?

Yesterday I spent the afternoon and evening in the company of about 60 other people who had gathered to watch the film “Uncovered: The Whole Truth about the Iraq War”, a documentary with some extremely impressive and credible talking heads who all pretty much denounced Bush and this war as the manufactured travesty many of us know it to be.

These parties were organized by members of Moveon.org, and there were several thousand of them all over the country, I believe. So I figure I can’t be the only doper who attended.

What was interesting was that it wasn’t exclusively hard lefties in attendance. There was a healthy distribution of centrists who are pissed off about what’s going on.

So, did anyone else see the film? I thought it was extremely well put together, very professional, and very calm. Nothing shrill or overwrought about it, and all the information in it was very credible, most of it well known to us here, but just nicely gathered together to paint one hell of a damning picture.

Guess what I thought this thread was about

same thing I thought it was sbout. We didn’t have names for these kinds of parties back when I may or may not have attended them.

Hey, Stoid, I went to one too. It was a bit smaller…about 20 folks. I agree with your assessment of the movie…Really well done, much better than I expected actually. And, quite damning while, as you say, not being shrill.

Yes, now if only those pesky little Debate Questions were as easy to locate as those Weapons of Mass Distruction.

Did you mean for this to go into IMHO?
