When I googled this, there were a lot of results of people being charged more than the quoted price. But very little about less.
I’ve had to use Uber to get to work the past few weeks. At least 3-4 times per week, when I get my receipt after completing the ride, the price is significantly less. Example: This morning I was quoted $12.38. I was actually charged $7.81. Yesterday I was quoted $11.15 and was charged $9.38. etc. etc. I’m leaving my house at 7:30am so it’s a busy time. If anything i’d expect to get hit with surge pricing and charged more.
I’m certainly not complaining, just wondering if anyone knows why this may be? No, I don’t have any active promos.
