So every year, starting three years ago, I always countdown to the end of the year when a new one of these videos come out. Anyone else always waiting for the end of the year so they can watch the yearly Google Zeitgeist? I look forward to them every year, without fail. It’s like, I can NEVER wait for December 15th (or so) to come around to see the newest one made. They are always so wonderfully done. They always give me chills and dampen my eyes. And every year they seem to get better and better and better. I don’t think I look forward to many things as much as I look forward to the Google Zeitgeist. I can watch them multiple times, too…and never tired or get bored of it. Every time I watch them, I see something new and that I hadn’t noticed before. I first learned about them three years ago…and since then, have been anxiously awaiting them every year as they come out.
Now…For those of you or any who have never heard of them, it’s a tradition they started in 2010…basically they’d make a video (not long, only about 1 and a half minutes to three minutes) sort of “reviewing” all of the major stories, biggest memes, and most popular, most watched stories/pictures/news events.
And it’s just done SO amazing, like I said. Every year seems to top the last. And I always go in saying I’m not gonna cry, but I always wind up doing so a little.
So if you have never seen them yet, Here’s the collection so far…take the ten or so minutes all of these vids take and watch through them in order. It’ll give you chills. At least one of them will. Many people who are a fan of these say that the latest one (2016) was the best so far…I hope you enjoy if you take the time to check them out.
2010s, 2011s, 2012s, 2013s, 2014s, 2015s, and 2016s.
Hopefully I’ve been able to “convert” at least one new person to having to wait with me until the end of this year for the newest one. :)
