Anyone else being the 'victim' of a brushing scam?

I was about to say “they’re yours” but hubby came back from his mandatory walking sessions and told me he’d unloaded the lot! See, he’s now on close acquaintance terms with everyone in the neighborhood who walks their dogs, and one of them is a woman who grows gourds and sells them on Etsy. She hollows them out and paints them to be bird nesting sites and bird feeders and simply decor. He’d told her about our recent presents and she said immediately “I can use them!” Apparently she has rows of trellises she grows the vines up, which allows for many more, plus they stay cleaner and free of molds or whatever, and zip ties are just perfect for making loops to keep the vines up off the ground.

So, sorry! Who would have imagined they’d be such a hot item?
Hubby did keep a handful of a couple of the smaller sized ones. He says he’s going to organize all his power cords and extension cords. Ha!

I’ve only ever seen zip ties with width proportional to length; so while I might be able to use shorter ones for the length of what we’re using them for, they don’t have the strength of the longer ones. If you’re just using them to keep a couple of PC cables organized under your desk then the shorter ones are probably fine.

We use the bigger ones & either rotate them to hide the tails, or more frequently, cut them off.
