Anyone else bored by "The Matrix"'s hand-to-hand fight scenes?

The trailer throws 100 images a minute at you. The fact that two of them are sequential, IMHO, means diddly squat. And anyway, you can pretty clearly see that Neo is looking at an Agent when he says “upgrades”.

I saw the film today and when I was watching the big Agent Smith fight I thought of this thread. Yes it went on for too long and was quite pointless as were most of the others. I didn’t care too much for the car chase either though it at least had more variety. The film would have been a lot more interesting if they had cut some of the fight scenes and used the time to develop the new characters like Niobe. Also some of the music in the fight scenes was atrocious: especially in the first big Agent Smith fight.

I have to agree about the sheer length and frequency of the fight scenes; in particular, the multiple-agent-smith fight goes on for FAR TOO LONG and is bloody daft; if anyone has played Dynasty Warriors 2 or 3 on PS2, this scene reminded me so much of that game it was funny
I lose interest in a fight scene when the protagonist uses a pole as an axis and starts running on his opponents’ faces

Thought the sequence with the Oracle’s bodyguard was ok though; also enjoyed Morpheous on the freeway any time he picked up the sword (when he takes out the Twins’ car, IMO, is one of the finest moments in that movie).
