I still say that we need one Russia probe for every Benghazi inquiry.
Joe Donnelly isn’t doing well so far, and CNN’s exit poll showed Trump with a 52% favorability in Indiana. It’s not looking good for the senate
Well, red/rural precincts usually report first.
Predictit has him as a 2:1 underdog at this point, but as you say it is still early. I feel like this is watching a car wreck in slow motion.
– Germany, 1933.
I’m really really worried about election tampering in all aspects. I fully expect there to be some really ugly shit coming out with voter roles and exit polling differences.
Unforunately, no one is going to take a step back and say “If you millionaire white celebrities could STFU this go around that’d be great”
IOW if the bitch slap of 2016 wont work, nothing will.
Your sample size of 0 in comparable situations is amazing.
“Trump is Hitler!! Vote him out!!”
“His cronies are the SS and Goebbels and Himmler!!! Harass them in restaurants without reprise!! Crow about it all day on Twitter!!”
“Yeah, all we need is 1,000,000 bruthas to vote late in the Hoosier State and we’re set!!!”-Paraphrased Dave Chappelle
Amazing how often people say “It can’t happen here…” …until it does. History may not repeat itself, but it often rhymes.
Maybe they should have harassed Goebbels in restaurants back in the thirties. Should have been plenty of opportunity; that guy looked like he could swallow small children whole.
Did you come up with that? Its good. No seriously.
“Talent borrows, Genius steals.”
I get it off the back of a truck parked in a dark alley, cash only, no questions asked.
Well, I was half right.
The Dems won the House handily. So far it looks like they will lose a seat or even two in the Senate.
:o
Germany in 1933 was reeling from WW1 economically. While here we got a growing economy a strong two party government that shows no signs of collapsing. As much as I think the democrats are arrogant, myopic and wrong minded dont have problem living in a district or city governed by them. Even if you want to jump to the imbecilic conclusion that Trump is Hitler thats your paranoid delusion. He will be gone in 6 yearsor less dont worry your little sweet democratic heart about it
I’m not crazy about Godwinizing but you do miss something. This country is overall continuing a long economic run. The investor class, the wealthiest, are doing extremely well. Whites with no college education … well more of them have jobs now that unemployment has gotten so low but wages (adjusted for inflation) are barely growing at all, “wages are growing less than 1 percent faster than inflation”. That number is overall wage growth. I am not easily finding recent wage growth broken down by education level, but if recent past is any guide the growth that there is, is going to the more highly skilled and educated, not to those whites with no college education or special skills.
So we have a large population who had once upon a time been assured of a middle class existence aided to some degree by their group identity of white Christian, who have at best stagnated. And when the economy next drops (and sooner or later it will because that is normal cycles) they will be hit hard. They do not feel secure and they are right. Meanwhile more “others” are getting education and rising above them socioeconomically and in visible positions of power.
That’s the recipe that pointing at the other(s) and blaming them works best. That was the recipe then and that is the recipe now.
And it will get worse before it gets better because the no college education white group is going to fall out more next downturn and the changes that have resulted in more others becoming more successful (a less unfair playing field, more education, just more of them, so on) are going to continue no matter what Trump does. So the resentment will grow …

No. Increase in tuition is from guaranteed federal loans.
