Yep, damn slow for me. Painfully slow. And I have an upgraded account (which obviously doesn’t make a difference).
I wonder why there is no explanation posted on the main site?

I’ve also been getting e-mail notifications (the bell in the toolbar) when I don’t have new mail.
I’ve only been having issues with the mail. My lack of dominance in fantasy footbal is a totally unrelated issue.
My yahoo account is crashing Safari every time I try to check my mail. I opened it in IE, where I can check my mail but not send anything.
Grrr… I depend on that account! I’m about to switch to gmail if this doesn’t clear up soon.
What bell in the toolbar? I downloaded Yahoo toolbar onto my new computer and can’t even get a damned ‘mail’ button. Even when I remove all the other buttons.
Same here on the crashing Safari, but I can send from IE.
FWIW, I normally use Mozilla, and this is where I have the problem stated above. If I log on in IE I can send mail, but it is painfully slow as mentioned by others here. Are the rest of you using IE?
My Yahoo! Mail seems to have returned to normal, speedwise, this morning. I noticed that the spell-check feature is slightly different than before, so I assume they’ve been doing some sort of rolling upgrade that puts users in a slow-down mode until the transition is complete.
They’ve done something. Yahoo Mail now only partially works in Mozilla for me. A lot of the active buttons fail to load or seem to time out. I’ll get done writing a long email, click send, and get nothing. Frustrating.
I’ve been migrating to Gmail anyway, time to put yahoo to rest for good.
