When I go to send an e-mail or move something to a folder, I usually get a “There was a problem accessing your account” screen two or three times before the desired action. It’s been like this all weekend, from 2 different computers. I’ve reported it every day, and they keep telling me it’s temporary. It clears up after a few refreshes, but I shouldn’t need to keep doing that.
Yup. It happened to me last night and today. The key is to refresh, not go “back.” Found that out the hard way after waiting a loooong time for an attachment to load.
Yeah, “trouble accessing account” for the last three or four days. Interestingly, I have two Yahoo accounts; I have been having trouble with one but not with the other.
I have this problem on a regular basis with Yahoo mail. For many moons, even. I just hit the Refresh button or F5 and it usually decides to cooperate.
I wish I could set up a recognition period longer than 24 hours with Yahoo, though. It seems like every morning, I have to remind it who I am while I am in the middle of reading through my overnight e-mail.
It never ever works for me the first time, either. I have to log in at least twice and refresh a couple of times after that. It’s been like that for months.
For over a week and a half now, I haven’t been able to get into one of my folders. No amount of refreshing or logging out and in has been able to fix it. It wasn’t any help to write to Yahoo about it either.
I think they are changing the “My Yahoo” main page format.
I noticed the problems when I attempted to check on my dominance of the SDMB Pickem’ Football Pool.
When I got the the main page it said something of the effect of “Welcome to the new and improved My Yahoo!”
I actually have a GMail account, but I hate it. I really don’t like the way GMail groups e-mail. At least Yahoo gives you the option of sorting by Sender, Subject, or Date (like a “normal” e-mail client should), and makes it easy to identify new messages without making them part of a “discussion.”
I also have a Hotmail account, but it gets way more spam than my Yahoo account does.
