Anyone else in SoCal area watch the space x launch just now?

It was pretty spectacular. We were able to see just after launch, booster seperation, and the boosters powered decent from my yard in Burbank.

Bah, social=SoCal. Reported for title change.

Fixed.

Thankee!

If my Facebook feed is any indication, everyone but me.

It was an incredible sight from Santa Barbara. After about the first minute, the rocket had risen enough that it was in daylight and the exhaust cloud had an amazing almost internal luminosity. After separation, the thrust gas from the first stage maneuvers made beautiful glowing smoke rings. And of course the second stage proceeding to orbit was an intense white dot, with the fairings looking like two bright stars as they tumbled. Better than seeing it up close, I think.
