I don’t usually feel very comfortable sitting unless I’m sitting on at least one of my legs, or if I pull them near my chest in almost a fetal position. Does anyone else do this, or am I a freak of nature? Also, why is this bad for us? Assuming it is. Which I am.
I sit on my foot all the time. I feel more comfortable that way too. Don’t know how bad it is for you, but I do know it makes my foot fall asleep,
I do it too, even though it makes my hips hurt.
Not exactly as you describe, but I do have a preference for having my feet raised and I tend to sit side-wise on a couch with my feet up.
Same here. Sometimes cross legged. Doesn’t cause me problems, though, and I’ve been doing it for years.
If you are a man, I would consider that very, very odd. It’s always struck me as something only women like to do.
I feel uncomfortable if I’m not sitting with either one leg crossed under me, or sitting with legs raised high on as another chair and crossed. Most of the time now I can’t do either (rheumatoid crap) and it feels like I’m actually not sitting, but standing.
I’m sitting on one of my feet/legs right now. thanks for reminding me that I need to switch to the other leg soon, to avoid numbness.
I usually sit cross-legged. My hips and lower back get uncomfortable pretty quickly if I sit in a more standard position. It makes driving for a long time unpleasant.
