It never fails that when we are on the highway in between towns, we pass a bus clearly marked “First United Church of Christ”, “Mount Zion Assembly of God” or some such devout religious organization. This is understandable; it’s cheap and convenient to travel in groups for retreats and such. These buses are usually filled to the brim with members of the church, who are clearly visble through the large windows.
Other things are visible too.
Maybe it is just me, but am I the only one who finds that every time (at least three times or so) I pass one of these buses, every window affords a rather embarrassing and unexpected view of a couple absolutely necking, and vigorously so? I swear, if the bus wasn’t so clearly labeled, I’d think I was passing the Bang Bus. I’ve nothing against PDA, but it seems to me an odd juxtaposition to see such mirth-making aboard such a vehicle, especially when you’re thinking those especially clean thoughts that can only come from easy-listening on an unfamiliar radio station and the expanse of countryside.
Am I the only one who has observed such a…well, we can’t say it’s not a loving thing…but, am I alone in observing this?
