I pop mine all the time. Just a slight pressure from my fingers will cause it.
Yes, I think it’s cool. If I draw a deep breath while pulling my shoulders back I can get a nice bowl of Rice Krispies happening. It seems I can use my superpower only once or twice per day though, usually in the evenings.
I do this too. I sit in my office chair, extend my legs in front of me, and cross my ankles. Then I squeeze my butt cheeks together and straighten out my body, I can get a good adjustment of my pelvis. Sometimes when I’m driving, I will cross my ankles and squeeze my knees together to get a similar effect.
Once every year or so, I get the back of the head crack, too. Very disconcerting!
