I am a caffeine addict and I like it that way. Recently I have been noticing joint pain when I haven’t had any caffeine in a couple hours. It’s really bad when I first wake up. In fact I wake up due to the joint pain. I’ll shoot up with some sweet, sweet caffeine and the pain in the joints will go away. Since the pain went away with the gulping of coffee I don’t think the joint pain is due to the mattress needing to be replaced, though it probably doesn’t help; besides I’ll have the joint pain well before I go to sleep. I’ll take a couple Tylenol before bed and all will be better. I can’t shoot up with caffeine before bed and sleep. I’ll lay there and not sleep, very annoying. I have been reading at Johns Hopkins Medicine web site in an attempt to understand some of the more severe caffeine withdrawal symptoms. http://www.hopkinsmedicine.org/Press_releases/2004/09_29_04.html
Has anybody else had experiences like mine? Let’s leave the head ache, sluggishness, and mood swings out of the discussion please. I’d like to think of those symptoms as my old friends, like old Navy buddies I get emails from every now and again reminding me that they still exist. I don’t respond to them because it will incite them to email me more. I want to explore these new visitors.
