Really? Damn, that’s weird.
In the end, I just typed
cat
but I thought long and hard about exactly what I should put in that box before I did so. I probably spent more time on that ‘question’ than anything else on the survey.
Given this, what did you put for on a scale of 1 to 5, which is your favorite number?
Clint Eastwood was the correct answer.
Hate him too!
I typed cat without the quotation marks. I tend to not thing of the smart alec answer until it’s too late.
I also always have a random celebrity pre-chosen for all those times people ask me to randomly name a celebrity (this way I avoid answers like “Tom Cruise”) My default celebrity is Cary Grant. You can’t go wrong with a man who looks fantastic in black and white.
I typed “cat” with the quotation marks and for the question “type five random words here,” I typed: five random words here.
I did it. I just typed cat, as I was trying to get through it quickly. My celebrity pick was Scarlett Johansson. I wonder how many people will pick females for that question.
Dark blobs connected by webs of light, mostly underground. (Boring, I know.)
I typed it without quotes. Programmer thing, I suppose–to me, the quotes indicate that it’s a literal string.
I thought of Charlton Heston. No idea why. Then I couldn’t think of anyone else for a few seconds, so I put his name in and moved on.
Same here, though I looked them up after. Learned two new legit words; the rest of the ones I didn’t know appear to be fake.
No it isn’t. Lilian Gish is the correct answer.
I too thought of Tom Cruise lol
Also I know it would make me a girl, but I kinda wish my name was Catherine Person.
I take it that I’m the only one who said Boris Karloff?
No quotes on the cat.
While mashing keys, I kept hitting Caps Lock (on and off), and at one point Firefox put me in the address bar.
Peter O’Toole
I’ll say it a second time, so it’s two out of three, which means it’s definitive and I win.
Lilian Gish.
I also wrote ‘“cat” here:’
And I’m totally doing that sock thing.
Totally with.
Totally with you on the calzones, tacos and quesadillas. I had a bit of consternation wondering if dill pickle spears are a condiment or a snack, and then realized that outside of Chicago (where they come on hot dogs), they’re probably a side dish/snack, not a condiment. So I put no. But now I regret it a little.
Also, Brad Pitt.
query: “random movie star”
reply: “John Goodman in Big Lebowski”
Sometimes, even my subconscious gets one right.
For the “cat” question, I wondered immediately how many people would type “dog” or some other smart-aleck response. Was I just being a sheep and doing what I was told when I typed cat without the quotes? Probably. But, hopefully, I will one day learn to live with my failure.
It doesn’t matter how many times you say it. It doesn’t even matter what question you ask.
Lillian Gish is not the right answer for the same reason it’s never lupus. Which is to say, “reasons.”
Regarding movies stars, I entered “Beetlejuice”. Because it’s a movie and a star (especially if you don’t know how to spell).
Damn! Foiled again!
