Anyone have some good "first reaction" videos? (first reaction to hearing a piece of music .)

I stumbled across him critiquing Zeppelin’s Achilles Last Stand; he was grooving big time. I almost spit my drink across the room when he complemented John Bonham’s drumming: He beats those drums like they owe him money.

I like Jamel_AKA_Jamal. He’s a pretty positive person in general.

Andy & Alex talk about the songs in more detail than most, though I am a bit incredulous that college-aged people who play one or more instruments aren’t VERY familiar with some of the songs already.

It seems SNL has discovered reaction videos. From this week’s episode:

All reactions to Band Maid are similar, they can not believe these young ladies can ROCK.

I haven’t checked out any more reaction videos yet, I do want to give them a fair shot, but my first exposure to them, just popping up by chance on YouTube, they seemed a lot like the SNL skit.

I must have seen more than a hundred reaction vids by more than a half-dozen people/teams (because I apparently HAVE that kind of time) and yeah, they mostly seem like the SNL skit. You’d think just ONE person would not like ONE song, ONE time, but no. Hell, a lot of songs I like, I was kinda iffy on the first time I heard them, but they LOVE these songs the ‘first’ time they hear them, every time.

Wow, that guy so completely checks every, “reaction video host” box, I legit thought he was parodying the genre. I had to look at his channel awhile to figure out if it was all some elaborate gag video.

Woman have been ‘rocking’ for 50 years, at least. Anyone who hasn’t noticed hasn’t been paying attention.

Metallica cover of Loverman.

This extremely stoned gent’s reaction to Sympathy for the devil is hysterically funny. He got quite confused trying to guess the singer’s name.

Oh dear, that was so very funny. Thank you for that link.

@rocking_chair Assuming you were referring to my Sympathy link, yeah that guy cracks me up every time I watch him try so very very earnestly to answer the question “Won’t you guess my name?”

Yeah, Leo’s a very…unique individual. I love the way he yips every time he flops on the couch.

Seems to have little sympathy and politesse for the devil, though. If he met the gentleman in question, his soul would be laid to waste with a quickness, for sure.

“Oh! It was right there in the title!”

ROFL

“He did a lot, whoever this man is. This is deep!”

Indeed, I am referring to the sympathy link.

When he thought it might be Jesus… scared the cats laughing.

Woo,woo. Is that the devil call?!

“Is he on his way??” this guy was hilarious.

File Drawer effect; you don’t see the reactions where they dislike the song.

I’m afraid this isn’t particularly kind, but it’s hilarious:

If you haven’t discovered him yet, Fil of Wings of Pegasus gives a professional level analysis in his reaction videos and covers a lot of the overlooked players from the country music scene. He’s great at pointing out little things in the video that you might miss, kind of like the better broadcast analysts for something like an NFL game.

Here Fil takes the time to point out how the band has been looping until they get the verbal cue to smoothly go on after Roy and Johnny have their banter.

When it comes to Queen, I have a hard time believing that even a child born in the deepest reaches of Africa is not born knowing all the words to Bohemian Rhapsody. However, The Mathews Fam double-take upon realizing that yes, Vanilla Ice did lift that rift from Queen is priceless.

“The devil! The damn DEVIL!”
