Anyone have warming gloves they like (or other gloves good for Reynaud's)?

I have Reynaud’s phenomenon, so my hands are very susceptible to cold. It’s already becoming a problem - I can walk around in short sleeves and sandals but my hands are too cold with the mild autumn breeze. Even in my office, my hands go numb.

I was looking for some kind of self-warming, but the reviews tend not to be great online. Also, my palms are fine – I specifically need finger warming, and a lot of models seem not to do that. Also, it can’t be too fussy dexterity-wise to manage, since my hands are messed up (scleroderma - my skin is too tight, basically, it’s like wearing really tight gloves all the time).

Or maybe some Reynaud’s (or just plain cold hands) sufferers have better ideas? I see there are a lot of USB hand warmers out there, which would be great for work, but I wonder if they’re any good.

Any thoughts appreciated!

I find it’s always better to keep ahead of it. Put on the gloves/mitts before your fingers start to go. It’s almost too late then - all the blood flow has already shut down (my fingertips can go death white when it is bad)

Haven’t tried it but I found this USB rechargeable unit that you just hold on to. Easier to target the fingers.

I’m sorry fluiddruid, I don’t mean to get your topic off on a tangent, but I was wondering, since I have this condition too and am thankful you brought this up but does anyone know of anything to help the feet… toes specifically too? I too take topomax for migraines which seems to make the condition times 100 worse for some reason and I can’t figure out how to keep my feet and especially toes from going white numb cold in the slightest cold weather nippy weather here in the south mind you !

In the summer it’s bearable most of the time but come nippy weather and I’m miserable fingers and feet… I’ve thought of investing in expensive wool socks but right now we are on a tight budget. But maybe for Christmas /birthday if anyone thinks it might help?

Again sorry for highjacking your thread and I hope you get relief

A cheap and simple route that may be worth trying is latex exam gloves, they keep my hands pretty hot when I wear them while working on cars.
