Anyone use or have heard stories around the campfire about Motif Investing? Here’s the scoop which I just read this morning. I’m thinking of throwing my somewhat small hat into the ring.

Although Little_Pig is a newish poster, I have seen them around in a few threads so don’t think this is spam (though it’s the mod’s call, of course - not trying to junior mod). No harm, no foul in my view - I have made the same mistake myself.
To the OP: sorry, haven’t heard of them, from a brief glance at the website it looks an interesting idea. As ever, be sure to read all the small print!

Then I apologize to Little_Pig. The recent join date, plus the simplicity of the statement (here’s an investment, I think I’ll invest) led me to believe it was one of the many sales attempts that pop up on the board.

I like the idea and know at least one legitimate hedge fund manager who dabbles with it. I can’t speak to the reliability of their execution and/or brokerage business.
I’d be very careful about chasing performance of the “hot” motifs. After a couple of minutes of browsing I see the best performing motif of the past month holds 8.3% in a 3x leveraged gold miner fund. Anyone holding a leveraged fund in a long term account clearly has no idea what they’re buying and probably has no idea what they’re doing. That said, I do know of some people that offer motifs who are sophisticated and probably worth listening to. Caveat emptor.
