So the link is most likely NSFW.
Was listening to Outlaw Country on my Sirius radio on the way to the bank and they played this song called Tie My Pecker to My Leg by Mojo Nixon.
All it’s missing is the last line proclaiming they’re The Aristocrats.
The station is also officially my favorite radio station. Big variety of music, no commercials and lots of songs I would, otherwise, never hear.
Yeah, Mojo Nixon (with or without Skid Roper) is great, and a wellspring of sophomoric humor songs. Been into him since high school in the '80s.
Mojo is also a way cool guy. I’ve met him 3 or 4 times and hung out with him and Skid and some other folks after we brought him to play at FSU back in '88 or '89.
Check this out:
We did the show at a local music club/venue and during the show some guy jumped up on the stage, did his little 2 second dance and then did a stage dive.
The problem: the crowd wasn’t really stage dive dense. Most people got the hell out of his way, except for a young lady, who he landed smack on. She went down under him, smashed her head into the venue’s brand new stainless steel dance floor plates, and was immediately unconscious. The asshat bolted out a side door and was never caught.
We got medtechs to her right away, but we didn’t have an ambulance on site. Mojo stopped his show, admonished the crowd not to be dicks ffs, and then got down off the stage and serenaded her for 8 minutes until the ambulance arrived. His song was mostly just “please be okay” and “we’ll kick his ass when we find him”, but it was still pretty cool.
She ended up with a concussion and some stitches, but AFAIR no permanent damage. Mojo sent us a letter a few weeks later asking about her condition. He told us at a later show that the incident really scared the shit outta him and he stopped allowing stage dives (or jumping up on stage) after that, even putting security rules into his rider.
And having drunk beer and gone bowling with him and Skid, I can tell you that he was a wicked sense of humor and fun all the time, not just when he is performing.
“Tie My Pecker to My Leg?” Is it about Agdistis and Dionysus, by any chance?
