So it’s year three into the Longhorn Network experience, and it’s still not on my satellite provider (DirecTV, though I will note that they sure as hell moved heaven and earth to get the SEC Network up this summer). Frankly, I’m pretty happy with DirecTV’s other offerings - just this one shortcoming.
Here’s the carriers that have the Longhorn Network:
AT&T U-verse, Charter Communications (Arkansas, Louisiana, New Mexico, Texas, Virginia), Cox Communications (Arkansas, Kansas, Louisiana, Oklahoma), DISH, Grande Communications, Google Fiber (Kansas City), Time Warner Cable (Texas), Verizon FiOS, Consolidated Communications, En-Touch Systems, E-Tex Communications, Bay City Cablevision, Mid-Coast Cablevision and Texas Mid-Gulf Cablevision.
Some folks have told me that it’s possible to watch LHN via the WatchESPN app, and run a laptop or Roku to the TV. Pretty cool!
All I would need is someone who isn’t that interested in LHN who might let me use their credentials to login and watch. (Our season opener is Saturday.) If you think you might be able to help, let me know in this thread or PM. Of course I would be willing to return the favor in some way.
[Mods, I figure this is an OK request, but if not, feel free to move or shut down the thread.]
