Anyone in US named Dakota?

Dakota is the indigenous, native American, name for “no fucking trees”.

If your cousin is your first cousin, then you have a first cousin twice removed named Dakota.

Did they have a sibling named Ford?

Not to my knowledge. But they could have.

Awesome! Thx.

Just for another data point, the ultramarathoner Dakota Jones just finished third at the CCC 100km race.

I know of two Dakotas, both men. One was a high school friend of my wife’s, born in the mid-1970s. The other is the son of former Louisiana governor Buddy Roemer (1988-92) – see second photo at link. Dakota Roemer was born in the early 1980s IIRC.

What’s all this, then!?

It’s a jointly authored limerick.

I knew a young woman named Sue.
Then one day I learned that she spelled it Sioux.

She hiked up her pants
and did a rain dance
but if it worked, nobody gnu.

I understand @garygnu

But he’s gary, not nobody!

No one has mentioned the almost all encompassing name North

And her last name West

So so special.

and St L Cards have pitcher named Dakota Hudson

Interesting. I’ve known a few Dakotas, all male.

What about Northern Exposure actor Rob Morrow’s daughter, Tu?

My niece’s boyfriend spells his name the same way

now, a Dakoda Toyoda - wouldnt that be something?

Dakota sounds like a character from Road House.

So, the polar opposite of a dendrophile, then?

Oh, yeah. I do know a Dakota. He’s my first cousin once removed. But he goes by Cody, so I forgot his full name until just now.
