Here’s a couple of alternatives to ThelmaLou’s great bracelet idea – you could have it sandblasted into a paperweight or garden stone, etched into a nice piece of oak planking, or as a set of commemorative glasses or coffee mugs… I used to do this, so that’s my prejudice. Or get it needlepointed as a sampler, like an old timey framable bit of wall art. They’ll all still serve as your “operating instructions”, but without the potentially risky invasive procedure. Plus there’s that aging factor to consider…
